Team Inspiration

Inspiration Nose Fund

The money raised by Team inspiration members and their guests at the regular events is being allocated towards the cost of producing one area of Inspiration.  The Target set by The Inspiration Team was for the Club Members to raise the £5,000 needed to manufacture the front or nose area of the car.

The fund was originally launched at the March 2005 Club Day, when it was announced that £500.00 had already been raised towards the target of £5,000.00.

Since then, Mike Horne, a composites specialist who worked on the ThrustSSC land speed record car, has been working on producing the bucks from which the carbon fibre front end can be created.

After the second Club Day in March, the fund had risen to £1,611.00.

Now, the fund currently stands at £2,797, a superb 56% of total required.  This has been raised from the sale of  merchandise,  raffle tickets, tank and steam car rides at Club Days.

The Team inspiration office would also like to say thank you to Mr David Bartrop, Team Inspiration Member No. 001, who has recently sent a cheque for £250.00.

This is a superb achievement, but of course, the Fund is still only half way to its target.  Hopefully, fund-raising events over the next few months will boost this fund considerably and allow work on the front end of the car to be completed.
