Team Inspiration

Club Day - March 2005

The Second Team Inspiration Club Day was held on Sunday, 20 March 2005, when over 60 Club Members and Sponsors attended.
Club Members, Sponsors and Guests were greeted by a smiling Lynn Grey

Barbie McSean and Steve Georgii introduced Glynne Bowsher, Chief Designer, who gave a detailed overview of the mechanical design of Inspiration. Glynne described the principals behind his design thoughts, and explained the reason why some of the earlier designs had to be abandoned. His lecture lasted for over an hour, and though detailed enough to engage the engineers in the audience, it was presented in a manner that was understandable to the non-technically minded. Glynne finished with an extended question and answer session.

The Media Room was full to capacity

Once again, a splendid buffet lunch was laid on in the dining room

After lunch, everyone was able to soak up the sunshine in front of the house, and admire some of the cars in the collection.

The customary raffle was held after lunch and one happy Team Inspiration Club Member won first prize, a chance to DRIVE a tank in the collection.
Although the Stanley Steamer was not available at this club day, the Snow-Cat proved a popular attraction, as did the Karts.
After the lunch break, Club members, sponsors and guests walked down to the workshops to see the recent developments in build.
